Welcome!
Gospel Life Community - "Church Without Walls" is a non-denominational Christian church in
Walnut, CA, approximately 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Standing atop a hill on Amar Road is our campus, home
to a congregation of around 200 people of all ethnicities and genders.
But beyond the hill and the building, we are a community. We are Bible-based, grace-oriented,
Spirit-filled, and we reach out to all people who are disconnected from God or the church. We chose the name “Gospel
Life Community - Church Without Walls” because we believe that is what God called us to be – a loving community
that is sharing and living the Gospel of Christ by being open to all seekers and believers.

“Freedom Cry,” a dramatic depiction of the birth of the Filipino Revolution, capped the 2010 Filipino Heritage
weekend celebration sponsored by the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce - San Gabriel Valley and Gospel Life Community
Church for the Filipino-American community of West Covina and Walnut area. In attendance on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the church’s
Miracle Hill campus at Walnut, California were Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon of the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles,
California and Council Member Tony Cartagena of the City of Walnut, California, and leaders of other civic organizations in
the area.
The play presented by the Youth Ministry of Gospel Life Community showed how Filipinos have always nurtured in their
hearts a passion for freedom. The participants, almost of them born and raised in the United States, learned that centuries
of exploitation and oppression could not extinguish their ancestors’ desire for liberty, justice and dignity. Even though
they were really challenged in trying to correctly pronounce Kataastasang Kagalangalang na Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan,
they all agreed that what they learned made them proud of their Filipino heritage.
John Tulio, Lead Minister of Gospel Life, delivered the day’s spiritual message – “Freedom In Love.”
Teaching from the Bible, he said that God created human beings in His image, so they could live in freedom, but we could only
experience true freedom within a loving relationship with God and with each other.
On Saturday, June 12, 2010, as part of the weekend celebration, health professionals from the Gospel Life Community Church
conducted blood pressure screening and diabetes screening services. The Public Health Foundation Enterprises (PHFE) Women
Infants and Children (WIC) Program also participated in the outreach event. They disseminated information on how the Filipino
American community can avail of the free benefits and services offered by the federally funded WIC program. Hundreds of people
from the community received these free services at the entrance of the Seafood City Supermarket in the Azusa-Amar shopping
area of West Covina, California.
Both the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce - San Gabriel Valley (FACC-SGV) and Gospel Life Community Church have
been involved in promoting the annual celebration of Filipino Heritage since 1998, when they co-sponsored the Philippine Independence
Centennial in the parking lot of Seafood City Supermarket in West Covina. For the past several years, Johnny Chua, President
of the FACC-SGV, has been instrumental in obtaining the support and participation of city officials of East San Gabriel Valley
and the Philippine Consulate in the annual event.
